The idea
Research has shown that people learn most when they construct something, whether it's designing a product, building a sandcastle, or writing a computer program. When people construct real things, they simultaneously construct theories and knowledge in their minds. This new knowledge enables them to build far more complex real things, which in turn leads to further gains in knowledge, and so on. A chain reaction effect.
